My 1989 Chrysler LeBaron Turbo, a palm and fingers-me-down, from my late grandpapa by way of my mother, is having a serious transferrence problem. This first blush of the morning, my Chrysler LeBaron would not accelerate ended 45 miles per sixty minutes, and it was making a resounding whining unimpaired whenever I was accelerating.

You might awe why I am still driving the LeBaron when such a vexed question could very easily make go round into a serious money draw off. Well, I am partly very attached to the LeBaron because it was my grandsire's car. (I was with him when he bought the LeBaron. He paid it off with a repression outright without financing. Lancinating pain man.) And in part I am convinced that a car discharge of a debt is a gigantic diminish of disposable profits.

It is true that it will credible cost me a moderately beautiful penny to get the Chrysler LeBaron's transmittance fixed (i.e. rebuilt or replaced). But when I contemplate of all the money I could be expenditure every month for the paying on a newer car, I am verily rather glad that I can fix the enigma by throwing a few hundred dollars at the LeBaron in lieu of having a hefty monthly discharge of a debt.

Keeping up with the Joneses, by difficult to have a slick and sunshiny new car, can be a disaster for your discretionary profits, which means less to keep and invest and less fortune when you retire.

I have a beggarly suspicion that when my grandpapa's old LeBaron finally gives up the soul, I will trot myself down to the used car lot and peck up another low-mileage old car that will get me there without sucking me dry and without leaving me with nothing to give to my retirement accounts.

So tomorrow I will proudly long step into the AAMCO transmittal shop (after a preservative 25 MPH impel!) to get the LeBaron's transmission fixed. The LeBaron will in all probability elicit stares from junior, hipper customers, with newer cars and more excellent paint. But I will gripe my head tall, secure...
