2009 Pontiac Vibe Reconsider


Introduction


In the spent, small wagons were not speculative and affordable and not much more. If you wanted driving under 1 and 2, you were pretty much out of chance. The Pontiac Vibe, however, was one of the first entries in a new rank of tall, convention sport wagons to make different all that. Sure, it had the not theoretical parts covered via an elevated driving post, remarkable itinerant room, a variable cargo circuit and impressive firing economy. But it also had sporty styling, estimable performance and a somewhat cold-looking inward.
Once again a semi-same twin to the Toyota Matrix, the redesigned-for-2009 Pontiac Vibe shares the Toyota's inner and mechanical components -- a pedigree that promises drawn out-term reliableness and durability. Different the identical cabins (furnished by Toyota), the out side styling is peculiar to each model, with the Pontiac retaining its trademark dual grille thesis. Pontiac says the steering and pendency were also specifically tuned for the Vibe.
In adding to the new styling, the '09 Vibe (to be turned to account in base, AWD and GT trims) brings a new machine for all but the base compact. Replacing the high-reaching-revving but ill-suited 1.8-liter machine in previous GTs is a torquey 2.4-liter four-cylinder. It's the same one that's used in the Toyota Camry and Branch xB and is perfect in the positive world for cut-and-drive city exchange of commodities and freeway merging. The antecedent base-horizontal 1.8-liter inline-4 carries over, though it's been heavily updated to make ready a bit more power. All-move on wheels drive is to be availed of again, as well.
